Fr. Gerardo Puga is originally from Querétaro, Mexico. He is the fifth of 8 siblings in a practicing Catholic family. He was ordained a priest on July 25, 1994, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. He has exercised his priestly ministry in Toledo, Spain, later in Italy and since 2004 in the Archdiocese of Denver. His last pastoral assignment has been in the parishes of Craig, Meeker and Rangely. The archbishop has sent him to our parish of St Mary in Rifle and Sacred Heart in Silt to accompany our pastoral process. He will arrive on July 1st and will be introducing himself on July 6th and 7th during all masses. We will organize a small reception for him after Sunday Mass at 6pm, on July 7th. Let us receive with faith the one who is sent by Christ the Good Shepherd.
